From Idea to Home
Building a Log Home Should Feel Exciting. Not Overwhelming.
Here is how this actually works — including the parts other builders leave vague.
- 01
Conversation
Tell us about your property, your goals, your inspiration, and how you imagine using the home. We'll tell you honestly whether we're the right builder for it.
- 02
Design
Start with an existing home or collaborate around your own ideas and plans. Plans are adjusted until the home matches how you'll actually live in it.
- 03
Planning
Define the home, materials, construction scope, site requirements, schedule and responsibilities — in writing — before construction begins.
- 04
Permits & Site Work
Permits are pulled and the site is prepared: access, clearing, drainage, and the foundation. In most projects this is coordinated locally, with our input on requirements.
- 05
Craftsmanship
Your log structure is prepared and assembled using proven full-scribe construction techniques, then erected on the completed foundation.
- 06
After the Structure
Roof, windows and doors, chinking, stain, interior framing and finish phases proceed in the sequence set out during planning.
- 07
Welcome Home
Complete the final stages of your project and begin enjoying the home you've imagined.
Every Project Is Different
Depending on location and project scope, we may provide the log structure or additional phases of construction while homeowners coordinate certain site work, foundations, plans, permits or local trades. The exact responsibilities are defined during project planning.
